Candied pecans are delicious for desserts or salads

You’ll find they partner perfectly with many fall desserts featuring warm and fragrant spices.

Store the candied pecans in an air-tight container or jar in your pantry.

Here’s a tip:

  1. Watch these on the stove top carefully and reduce the heat if necessary. I find these can go from caramelized to burnt very quickly.

  1. 1 cup whole pecans

  2. 2 tbsp butter

  3. 2 tbsp sugar

  4. Line a dinner plate with parchment paper and set aside. Use a medium-sized skillet.

  5. On medium-high heat, melt the butter and sauté the pecans a couple minutes. This lightly toasts the pecans. Sprinkle the sugar over the nuts and toss to coat. Continue cooking, tossing the pecans until the sugar begins to brown and caramelize.

  6. Move the pecans to the parchment lined dinner plate to cool. Once fully cooled, store in an airtight container or jar. Use on your favorite salads or desserts.

  8. You can do this with whole pecans or pieces.

  9. Brown sugar can be used in place of white if desired.
