These sweet and savory Maui kalbi ribs will melt in your mouth. Summer is the perfect time to get out the grill and this recipe will transport you away to memories of Hawaii and tropical breezes.

Maui kalbi ribs taste great with rice, fresh slices of grilled pineapple on the side. The ribs get their delicious flavor from the easy marinade in this recipe. The cut of meat I used is beef chuck short ribs. When sliced into thin pieces worked great. You can use another kind of beef rib cut as well if you prefer. Many other similar recipes call for short ribs or thin strips of beef. These work great too.

I don’t think these Maui kalbi ribs can get any easier. Simply combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl or pot. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate the ribs for at least 4 hours. Turn and mix the meat in the bowl at least one time half way through.

If you are gluten free, use a gluten free soy sauce such as Tamari. This recipe will serve about four people.
